The Welsh Language Act 1993 is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which put the Welsh language on an equal footing with the English language in Wales with regard to the public sector. To assist employers in Wales to comply with a number of standards operationally relevant to recruitment, in November 2019 we implemented a brand new multi-language feature.
Welsh Employers now have the ability to present their applicant-facing vacancy details in both English and Welsh. This includes:
- Job adverts
- Interview and appointment details
- Offer letters
- Employment check instructions
In addition, applicants who use the apps.trac.jobs site can decide whether they would like to view participating employers' application forms and vacancies in English or Welsh, and can set their "preferred language" as part of their account settings.
